In the school setting, physical therapy is provided to students whose physical limitations, motor deficits and/or developmental delay interfere with their learning and physical management of the school environment.
The focus of school-based physical therapy is not on the student’s physical disability, but rather on how the disability affects his/her performance and participation within all settings of their educational environment.
